"ADULT / JUNIOR ONLY" LEGACY SERIES

With 7 years of experience behind The Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail, the leadership of this ministry recognized that while we were having tremendous results in combining the mission statement of our organization with extremely professionally run tournaments, we were probably excluding a portion of the bass fishing community we least wanted to, the younger children.

While we have always had an Adult / Junior component to our National FOM Trail, the level of competition and costs were probably very prohibitive to attract most of those with less experience but just as much desire to competitively fish in a safe and family friendly environment.

With this realization and as always, divine inspiration, the board of directors made the decision to move forward with an “ADULT / JUNIOR ONLY” tournament format for FOM called the LEGACY SERIES.

This tournament trail will only be for teams where one member is 19 years or under and one member is older than 19 years old and will feature its own separate Adult / Junior only National Championship. To qualify, simply fish two divisional events, finish in the top 10 (or top 50% of the field, whatever is greatest) and you and your junior partner have earned the right to fish the National Championship and your chance at big cash prizes and a new Triton / Mercury fully rigged bass boat.

To cut the costs since most teams will be from the same family, membership is only $25.00 per team (Free if you are both already FOMNTT members) and entry fees are only $75.00. To reward more teams and try to give every child a chance to get a check, payouts will be 1 for every 3 teams plus 2 big bass awards!

It will still feature the popular free pre-tournament dinner meetings as well as great door prizes for the kids but in a less intense and competitive environment where everyone, no matter their age, experience or type of boat can still feel like they have a chance!

All of us here at FOM Ministries are excited about this new series and about the opportunity it will give us to reach out to the youth and families of America, not only to provide them a unique tournament experience but more importantly, to provide them a positive message of the importance of having God, parents and the influence of a great sport like bass fishing to lean against as they face the ever present temptations of growing up in a world of negative pressures.

By developing this new series, FOMNTT has once again shown that we will always stay true to our mission statement of being, first and foremost, a nonprofit, nondenominational ministry whose mission is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to fishermen and their families through competitive and professionally run fishing tournaments. With this new Legacy series, we just opened ourselves up to a whole new world of “next generationer’s” where we can have as positive impact as we have in the past.
