For every 16 team bracket, we will GUARANTEE a PAYOUT:
- $5000.00 to the 1st place team
- $1200.00 to the two teams making the finals (all inclusive of their previous bracket wins)
- And a guaranteed $600.00 to every team who wins their first two matches!
All connecting waters, rivers, etc NORTH of the BAY BRIDGE, of the Upper Chesapeake Bay will be OFF LIMITS from Monday June 8th, 2008 12:01am until Friday morning, June 13th at 5:30am.
Friday will be your OFFICIAL PRACTICE day but no person(s) other than the 4 registered team members may be in your boat(s) NOR may you discuss the tournament waters with anyone other than your team members OR other registered team participant competitors from the start of the off-limits thru the conclusion of the quarterfinal brackets, Sunday evening, June 15th, 2008.
Pairings will be done by RANDOM draw live Saturday morning, June 14th, 2008 at 5:00am, all 4 team members MUST be present.
Each boater team member will be given a corresponding magnet to match launch position bracket, this magnet MUST be placed on the scoreboard adjacent to your team’s name bracket and/or presented personally to the official weigh master.
Your team will NOT be considered checked in officially until your magnet is on the scoreboard.
Teams lose 1 pound per minute late up to 15 minutes at which time they will forfeit their entire weight.
A limit of 5 bass (largemouth, smallmouth, spotted bass) may be weighed in.
Minimum lengths will be 15 inches or higher. Lengths will be measured with mouth closed, sweeping the tail on a "Pro Rule".
A short fish brought to the scales will result in a 1 pound penalty.
Each competitors boat must be equipped with a livewell system capable of keeping a tournament limit of bass alive.
Dead fish will be penalized .50 (1/2) pound. The dead fish penalty will also apply to any fish weighed in as a Big Bass if that fish is dead.
All culling must be done on the lake; no team may have more than the tournament limit in the livewell at any time during the tournament, with the exception of dead fish.
Once fish have been placed in weigh-in sink to a Tournament Official to be weighed-in, all fish become the property of SFVU/FDU and no additional fish may be brought to the scales. Teams not weighing any fish are still required to check in with tournament officials in order to account for all teams. Only artificial baits may be used and fish must be caught alive in a legal and sporting manner. No snagging. Each competitor may not use more than 1 rod at any one time with no more than 1 bait in water per fisherman.Trolling with combustion motor is not permitted. No competitor may leave the boat to land or catch fish. Competitors shall remain with their partners in the boat at all times during the tournament, except in the event of sickness or brief excursions for "nature calling", severe storm or other such hazard. If for any reason a team decides to leave the tournament waters early, both members shall bear full responsibility for notifying a tournament official. In case of a breakdown, one partner may return with fish by another tournament boat while the other partner is permitted to stay with the disabled boat. Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times. Running lights must be operational and turned on at the blast-off of the tournament up until 1st spot is reached. No boat may fish within 50 yards of another competitor who is anchored with the trolling motor up, furthermore no team may fish within 25 yards of another team without the other teams permission. Permission may not be granted to any team at the exclusion of another team. No hole sitting by a non-competitor to aid a tournament participant will be allowed. Each contestant is expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, and conservation. No alcoholic beverages, stimulants or depressants may be consumed by any participant during any SFVU/FDU function. Violation of any of these rules is grounds for disqualification.Tournament Director decisions are final.
